How it Works

01.
The Details
If you love what you see on the website, we were made for one another! Simply let me know you’d like to hold a date for your family session by providing your basic information here. Booking requires a signed contract, payment of the session fee, and completion of a questionnaire. This allows me to gather all the details needed to make your session unique to your family.
02.
Preparing for Your Session
Once you’re booked, you’ll receive a detailed email explaining what to expect during your session. I recommend selecting your outfits a few days in advance so everyone is ready and relaxed on session day.
03.
The Day of Your Session
It’s time to relax and have fun! I’ll have drinks and snacks available at the studio, so all you need to bring is your family and nourishment. Family sessions typically last 1–2 hours. To keep the focus on genuine connection, please refrain from using phones or devices to prompt smiles — the best expressions come naturally.
04.
Your Preview Appointment
About three weeks after your session, you’ll either return to the studio or join me for a Google Meet call to view your images. I’ll have the tissues ready as we relive the beautiful moments captured during your private session. During this appointment, you’ll select your favorite images and place your order, so all decision-makers should plan to attend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear for my photoshoot?
Stick to solids without logos, or include only one subtle pattern within the group. Coordinate outfits rather than matching exactly. Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection. I’m always happy to offer wardrobe guidance so you feel comfortable, confident, and like yourself during your Boston family photography session. Here are additional suggestions.

Can I bring multiple outfits for the session?
I generally suggest limiting family sessions to one outfit so the time is spent creating images opposed to changing attire. However, for sibling and/or baby alone images please feel free to bring options so there is variety across the session.
