Frequently Asked Questions

When should I plan on being photographed for my Maternity session?
The best time to schedule your maternity photography session is between 28 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. During this window, your belly has a beautiful, full & rounded shape while you are still comfortable enough to move and pose with ease. Booking early ensures availability, especially during busy seasons.

Does Alternate Angles provide maternity dresses or wardrobe options?

These pieces are chosen to flatter your body, highlight your bump, and photograph beautifully. Most women bring 1-3 dresses that fit their body perfectly and speak to their individual style.

How long does a maternity photography session last?
Maternity sessions last between 1-2 hours, depending on whether you are including your partner and/or siblings. This allows time for multiple looks, up to 3 outfit changes, and a relaxed, enjoyable experience without feeling rushed.

Can my partner or children be included in the maternity session?
Absolutely. Including your partner and children is highly encouraged and helps tell the full story of your growing family. These images often become some of the most meaningful from your session.

What should I wear to my maternity photoshoot?

Do I need to bring anything to my session?
You will receive a how-to-prepare guide after holding your session slot that includes being sure to bring a variety of undergarment options. Additionally, you should arrive with your hair and makeup done.
