As a newborn Boston photographer, there’s nothing sweeter than welcoming a brand-new little client into the studio—especially when it’s someone as charming as infant Sully from Cumberland, RI! Sully’s session was one of those extra special ones that had all the perfect ingredients: a peaceful baby boy, loving parents, a beautiful color palette, and a personal touch that made it truly meaningful.

What was infant Sully's Studio Session color theme?

When Sully’s family arrived at my Boston-area studio, I was immediately inspired by the thoughtful choices they had made. Mom and Dad decided on a clean and classic blue, grey, and white color scheme for their newborn’s portraits. From soft wraps and textured blankets to props and backdrops, we stuck to those tones from start to finish. The result? A cohesive, timeless collection of images that will look stunning displayed in the nursery, printed in an heirloom album, or proudly hung throughout their home.

The blue and white palette wasn’t just beautiful—it was versatile too. We created a variety of looks, from sleepy swaddled poses to soft, natural setups that highlighted Sully’s tiny features. And since Dad serves in the Navy, we included just the right amount of nautical flair to honor that connection. Think classic anchor details, gentle waves of fabric, and a tiny sailor’s cap that brought an extra dose of sweetness. It was the perfect nod to their family’s story, and Sully wore it like a pro!
