After over 25 years as a professional baby photographer in the Boston area, I’ve learned one universal truth: every family has a story worth telling. While I truly love capturing timeless, classic newborn portraits—think soft blankets, sleepy poses, and bright, natural light—some of my most cherished sessions are the ones where we think outside the box.

Because when we infuse a session with your story, the resulting images become more than beautiful—they become unforgettable.

Take, for example, the son of a local author. Her six-month-old boy was bright-eyed and curious, always reaching for something new. So we crafted an image of him “hard at work” at a vintage typewriter, complete with a tiny writer’s cap. It was whimsical, personal, and a tribute to his mother’s passion for storytelling.

Then there was the baby boy of a Boston ski and snowboard instructor—just learning to sit. We bundled him in miniature snow gear, goggles and all, and perched him proudly atop his dad’s snowboard in a cozy studio snow scene. For this mountain-loving family, that one image captured generations of outdoor adventure.

And of course, I can’t forget the Red Sox baby! Born into a family of die-hard baseball Boston sports fans, this little one held on tightly to an old baseball, 2 teeth showing in his full smile, with glove and Phillies hat in the background: the classic combo of Mom's Sox pride paired with Philadelphia fan, Dad. The resulting portrait was full of local pride and personality—so Boston.
