Capturing Childhood Magic Through Movement | Child Portrait Photography at Alternate Angles
Some portrait sessions are carefully planned around poses. Others are built around personality.
When this sweet 6 year old came into the studio, her mother had one goal in mind: capture exactly who her daughter is right now. A little girl who loves princesses, spends her days singing and dancing, loves playing pretend, and rarely stays still for very long.
Instead of asking her to hold poses or sit perfectly still, this session became about movement.
We played her favorite music throughout the session, handed her a microphone, and simply let the magic happen.
She danced.
She twirled.
She laughed.
She became completely herself.
Children naturally communicate through movement, especially at this age, and sometimes the most beautiful portraits happen when we stop directing and simply follow along. Every spin, smile, and playful expression became part of the story we were capturing.
The result was a collection of portraits that feel authentic to this stage of childhood, preserving not only what she looks like at six years old but also who she is right now.
Because years from now, these are the little details families want to remember.
At Alternate Angles Photography, child portrait sessions are designed to celebrate personality, movement, and the magic that makes every child unique.
